Victim-Offender Mediation
In this unit, students further their understanding of Restorative Justice by learning about VictimOffender Mediation (VOM) and reconciliation. Students form small groups to create their own comic strip about a historical conflict that gets reimagined by being sent to VOM. In the final lesson of this unit, students and the teacher engage in a class discussion on topics related to Restorative Justice, including VOM, and discuss how they can be used as tools to help resolve current social justice issues.
