When we hear the word “conflict,” it usually conjures negative thoughts and feelings. We might think of arguments, disagreements, or even violence. But conflict is a normal, natural, and necessary part of life.
Conflict simply means that the people in a situation have unmet needs. The key to dealing with conflict effectively is to see it as an opportunity for growth. By learning how meet our needs and the needs of others constructively, we can:
Strengthen our relationships
Improve our communication skills
Build empathy
Develop problem-solving abilities
