Mediation and Decision Trees

This session starts with a mathematical challenge from the “18th Camel” provides students an opportunity to analyze a conflict situation and assess how different ways of addressing the conflict will lead to different outcomes. Students learn about decision trees and apply them to personal conflict scenarios.  The decision tree mirrors basic elements of coding with an “if then” framing. Students learn about the value of creating decision trees in mediation to help disputants come to an agreement
